The City of Pleasanton is excited to announce an opportunity for a dependable, hands-on, and community-minded individual to join our team as a Recreation Leader III - Senior Center! In this part-time, temporary role, you will help keep the Pleasanton Senior Center clean, organized, welcoming, and ready for the many programs, classes, and activities offered each day. Working under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor or Recreation Coordinator, you will support daily facility operations through room setup and teardown, supply organization, light maintenance, cleaning, and other essential behind-the-scenes work. Your efforts will directly contribute to a positive, comfortable experience for Senior Center participants, instructors, volunteers, and staff!

In This Role, You Will
- Set up and tear down tables, chairs, rooms, and equipment for classes, programs, and special events.
- Organize and maintain storage areas, equipment, and program supplies.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks and equipment assembly.
- Identify and report cleaning or facility concerns to the Recreation Supervisor or Recreation Coordinator.
- Coordinate with the facility coffee contractor to help ensure supplies are ordered and equipment is maintained.
- Assist with ordering equipment and supplies as needed.
- Prepare coffee daily for the Senior Center.
- Perform light cleaning of the facility as needed.
- Conduct bi-weekly inspections of outdoor areas and report concerns to appropriate City staff.
- Provide additional support to Recreation staff and assist with other assignments as needed.

- Moving tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Keeping storage spaces organized while supplies are regularly used and replenished.
- Responding to unexpected cleaning or facility issues.
- Balancing routine responsibilities with last-minute requests and changing program needs.

- Able to stay organized, adapt to schedule and priority changes, and work independently.

- Available to generally work weekday mornings, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., excluding City holidays. Hours and schedules are based on program needs and are not guaranteed.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Demonstrates an understanding of program objectives, operations, supplies and needs.
Demonstrates experience and/or familiarity with program operations.
Demonstrates some experience in emergency procedures and safety protocols.
May have taken classes or training courses in program area.
