What You’ll Do

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing interventions before, during, and after surgery
• Assess patient’s physical and emotional well-being, monitor vital signs, and maintain a sterile surgical environment
• Support patient education and recovery activities pre- and post-operatively
• Circulate in the operating room, with scrub experience as a plus
• Assist during various surgical procedures in specialties excluding cardiac and ophthalmology, including vascular and orthopedic surgeries
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient surgical care
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards

What You Need

• NY RN license and Temporary Healthcare Service Agency registration
• Minimum 1-2 years OR experience, including vascular and orthopedic surgery
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Strong sterile technique and patient assessment skills
• Ability to work a dayshift schedule and adhere to assigned shift hours
• Flexibility to accommodate a busy surgical schedule and respond to call-backs as needed

About the Assignment
This assignment is at a leading healthcare facility in Glens Falls, NY, offering a fast-paced surgical environment with 14 operating rooms, including coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections. The OR team provides care across multiple specialties, delivering approximately 50 procedures daily. You will play an integral role in patient safety and care throughout the surgical continuum.
