Temporary Safety Professional
Sacramento, CA
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Safety Professional for a Long-Term temporary assignment in Sacramento, CA. This role will support ongoing safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong safety culture within a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety inspections and job site audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee safety training sessions
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with recommendations
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and compliance records
- Partner with site leadership to reinforce safe work practices and policies
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols across all teams
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a safety role (construction, manufacturing, or industrial preferred)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
- Experience conducting incident investigations and safety audits
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and influence teams in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA 30 certification required (or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
- Certifications such as CHST, ASP, or CSP
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Assignment Details
- Duration: June 2026- March 2027
- Location: Sacramento, CA (on-site)
- Start: ASAP
- Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm
- Pay: $60-$65/hr
