Temporary Safety Professional

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety Professional for a Long-Term temporary assignment in Sacramento, CA. This role will support ongoing safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong safety culture within a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections and job site audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee safety training sessions
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with recommendations
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and compliance records
• Partner with site leadership to reinforce safe work practices and policies
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols across all teams

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a safety role (construction, manufacturing, or industrial preferred)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
• Experience conducting incident investigations and safety audits
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and influence teams in a fast-paced environment
• OSHA 30 certification required (or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Certifications such as CHST, ASP, or CSP
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Assignment Details

• Duration: June 2026- March 2027
• Location: Sacramento, CA (on-site)
• Start: ASAP
• Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm
• Pay: $60-$65/hr
