Required Skills:
- Valid ASHA certification and active state licensure in Missouri
- Proven experience evaluating and treating communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
- Ability to utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices
- Strong documentation skills ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical standards
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans
- Capable of providing supervision and support to CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in Long Term Care or similar healthcare settings
- Familiarity with healthcare electronic documentation systems
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
- Advanced training or certifications in swallowing therapy or other specialized areas
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare environment
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring less experienced SLPs preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to complete the start date by May 4, 2026
- Willingness to participate in meetings, trainings, and in-services as required
- Ability to obtain DME or supplies necessary for patient care in compliance with clinical standards
- Commitment to ethical practice in accordance with ASHA and state regulations
