Required Skills:
  • Valid ASHA certification and active state licensure in Missouri
  • Proven experience evaluating and treating communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
  • Ability to utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices
  • Strong documentation skills ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical standards
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans
  • Capable of providing supervision and support to CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working in Long Term Care or similar healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with healthcare electronic documentation systems
  • Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
  • Advanced training or certifications in swallowing therapy or other specialized areas

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare environment
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring less experienced SLPs preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to complete the start date by May 4, 2026
  • Willingness to participate in meetings, trainings, and in-services as required
  • Ability to obtain DME or supplies necessary for patient care in compliance with clinical standards
  • Commitment to ethical practice in accordance with ASHA and state regulations
