What Youll Do
Evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders according to regulatory standards.
Develop appropriate care plans based on assessments, utilizing standardized and evidence-based practices.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatments to optimize outcomes.
Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and team members.
Document services accurately within electronic health records, including treatment minutes and discharge summaries.
Participate in care conferences, meetings, and training sessions.
Obtain necessary DME or supplies, adhering to clinical requirements.
Support and supervise CFYs or student speech-language pathologists when applicable.
What You Need
Valid ASHA and State Speech-Language Pathologist Licenses
1+ year of experience, preferably in long-term care settings
Strong communication and clinical skills
Ability to adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, ethics, and confidentiality requirements
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
