What Youll Do:
- Evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in a Long Term Care environment
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to develop and adjust individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatments accordingly
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare team members
- Document all services, assessments, and care plans in electronic health records, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and facility-specific programs
- Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed
- Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, ethics, and standards of professional conduct
What You Need:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in Missouri
- ASHA certification in good standing
- Prior experience working with adult populations in LTC preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to clinical guidelines
