Speech Language Pathologist Summer Programs Temporary

Job Summary:

Provides special education services for Extended School Year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides services for ESY as indicated on a students IEP. • Develops and implements appropriate therapeutic activities according to identified ESY goals and objectives. • Assists with implementation of collaborative activities with other professionals. • Assists other professionals in supporting students communication needs. • Maintains current and accurate data collection regarding student performance and attendance. • Maintains effective parentschool communication. • Prepares and distributes progress notes at the end of the session. • Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Masters Degree in applicable field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required. • Experience: None • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics: • Working knowledge of AACPS special education student database - TIENET. • Ability to use technology, laptops, desktops, specialized assessment, and data analysis software. • Ability to employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to the needs of diverse learners. • Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations. • Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications, e.g., VideoWeb Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint) preferred. • Licenses and Certifications: Employee must retain active licenses, certifications, and enrollment as a condition of employment. • Speech and Language Pathologist License issued by Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech Language Pathologists required. • Speech and Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Certification issued by American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA) required. • National Provider Identifier (NPI) issued by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) required. • Driving Requirements: NA • Professional Organization Affiliations or Memberships: Employee must retain active enrollment affiliations and memberships as a condition of employment. • Actively enrolled in Maryland Medicaid required. • Upon receipt of NPI, immediate enrollment in Maryland Medicaid required.
