ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(20%)Injects and administers all radiopharmaceuticals. Assays radiopharmaceutical activities. Calculates volume and activity concentrations for radiopharmaceuticals. Knowledge and use of dosages and/or dose ranges for radiopharmaceuticals as they are listed per protocol. Enters these records in a dose tracking system. Performs laboratory procedures including many aspects of measurement, manipulation, and preparation of radiopharmaceutical kits and unit doses.
(20%)Understanding of Nuclear Medicine protocols and procedures. Positioning patients on equipment per protocol and procedure. Knowledge of acquisition parameters used in protocols and procedures. Monitors patient during procedures.
(20%)Intravenous (IV) access starting skills. Appropriate site selection. Aseptic techniques when accessing patient.
(20%)Operates all Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation devices. Knowledge of Quality Control requirements for all equipment used.
