Temp to Hire Financial Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company in Eastern Nassau to identify a Temp to Hire Financial Analyst to analyze financial and accounting data, develop reporting tools, and provide actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. This position will play a key role in financial analysis, fleet analysis, pricing, customer credit analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other strategic projects. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling and analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business recommendations.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, office-based

Classification: Exempt when permanent

Reports to: Vice President, Finance and Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze key performance indicators for the company's Ground Service Division.
• Prepare fleet, financial, operational, and inventory reports.
• Analyze inventory data and support inventory management activities.
• Create financial models to support business decisions and evaluate potential outcomes.
• Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools to improve efficiency and data utilization.
• Perform variance analysis for the overall business and its individual divisions.
• Analyze financial data and business performance metrics to identify trends, variances, risks, and potential issues.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management, stakeholders, and Board of Director meetings.
• Support month-end and quarter-end reporting requirements.
• Research industry trends and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Assist with credit agreement and debt covenant compliance.
• Identify potential business and financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Partner with departments across the organization to gather information and provide financial insights for operational and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Five or more years of financial analysis or related experience.

Advanced quantitative, analytical, and Excel modeling skills.

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the ability to analyze financial statements and accounting reports.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Interest in the aviation industry and/or supply chain management is preferred.
