CT/X-Ray Technologist Job Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT and diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare, position, and educate patients before imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Operate CT scanners and digital radiography equipment efficiently while producing high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast media when appropriate while monitoring patients for adverse reactions
- Follow radiation safety guidelines to minimize patient and staff exposure
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Perform equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance concerns promptly
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards and departmental policies
Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements
- A.R.R.T. Registration Required
- Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Licensure Required
- BLS Certification Required (may be obtained during orientation)
Preferred Experience
- One to three years of Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) experience in a healthcare or medical setting
- Previous CT imaging experience preferred
- Strong understanding of CT imaging protocols and diagnostic radiology procedures
- Excellent communication, patient care, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team
