Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Forklift Operator to join a busy distribution warehouse on a temporary basis. This position is ideal for someone with previous warehouse and forklift experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely moving products throughout the warehouse, assisting with loading and unloading, operating RF scanning equipment, and helping keep daily warehouse operations running efficiently.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a forklift to move and organize products throughout the warehouse
Load and unload products safely and efficiently
Use RF scanners to scan and verify products for accuracy
Perform routine forklift inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns
Follow all warehouse safety procedures, company policies, and standard operating procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Work closely with other warehouse team members to maintain productivity and workflow
Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
Safely and efficiently handle physical materials throughout the workday
Requirements
Current/valid forklift certification required
Previous warehouse forklift experience preferred
Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy warehouse environment
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials as needed
Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and lifting for extended periods
Ability to use RF scanning equipment or learn to use it quickly
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
