Client Overview:
Our client, a luxury spirits company, is seeking a Temp Workplace Operations Support to cover a leave of absence for approximately 10 weeks.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$22/hr - $25/hr

Position Overview:
This role provides front desk administrative and workplace operations support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the office. The Temp Workplace Operations Support manages visitor services, mail and package handling, meeting logistics, office supplies, and general office administration while maintaining a professional, organized, and welcoming work environment. The candidate should be available to work on-site 5 times a week and have no vacations planned during the temp period.

Responsibilities of the Temp Workplace Operations Support:
  • Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and employees in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Provide front desk coverage, including answering general inquiries and directing visitors appropriately.
  • Receive, sort, distribute, and ship incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Monitor and respond to the office's secure door/intercom system by granting visitor access according to established procedures.
  • Coordinate courier services and maintain package tracking records.
  • Assist with conference room scheduling, room setup, furniture arrangements, and meeting support.
  • Respond to employee comfort requests by making basic thermostat adjustments and escalating HVAC issues when appropriate.
  • Report maintenance, janitorial, safety, and building-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support employee moves, including workstation preparation and coordination with internal departments.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of reception, conference rooms, kitchen pantries, mailroom, copy areas, and all common spaces.
  • Perform routine office walkthroughs to identify maintenance, housekeeping, safety, or supply issues.
  • Assist with office supply, pantry, and kitchen inventory management, including stocking and replenishment.
  • Support employee events by coordinating room setups, catering, deliveries, and event logistics.
  • Assist with lifting and moving packages, office supplies, and small office items as needed.
  • Coordinate vendor access and escort service providers as needed while ensuring work is completed safely and professionally.
Required Experience/Skills for the Temp Workplace Operations Support:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Temp Workplace Operations Support:
  • Previous experience as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, Office Coordinator, or in customer experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in a corporate office environment.
  • Experience handling mail, deliveries, or office operations support.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and assist with a variety of office tasks.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
