Accentuate Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Temporary Accounts Payable Support Specialist to assist our accounting team with day-to-day accounts payable functions and general office support responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone with prior A/P experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced office environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities.
The Temporary Accounts Payable Support Specialist will support invoice processing, vendor communications, office administration, and audit preparation while helping maintain efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Accounts Payable
- Process and support a variety of accounts payable functions, including vendor invoices, statement reconciliation, and service-related A/P.
- Maintain general knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of general ledger accounts as they relate to invoice processing.
- Research and respond to accounts payable inquiries and vendor calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate regularly with vendors regarding account questions, payment status, and documentation needs.
- Complete vendor credit applications and assist with requests for certificates of insurance.
- Assist with audit preparation, including researching transactions and reconciling information to support auditor requests.
Administrative & Office Support
- Share responsibility for answering incoming phone calls and greeting/allowing admittance to office visitors.
- Maintain professional internal and external communication via phone, email, and mail correspondence.
- Order office supplies in accordance with company purchasing policies and budget guidelines.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, including postage and distribution services.
- Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous accounts payable or accounting support experience required.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and general ledger coding.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional office environment.v
