THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION (9 MONTHS OR LESS) - PAYING $16.50 (Fixed) PER HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCESpring 2026 THROUGH Fall 2026Work for Colorado Parks & Wildlife staff in Area 14, assisting in habitat improvement projects and routine maintenance of state wildlife areas, irrigation infrastructure, facilities, and equipment.This position is supervised by Wildlife Technician IV, Wildlife Property Technicians, District Wildlife Managers, and biologists.ResponsibilitiesTree and willow plantingFence building and maintenanceGeneral maintenance and cleaning of public facilities, including restrooms, vault toilets, campsites, picnic areas, and trails.Mowing and trimming operations.Operation of tractors and mowing equipment.Operation of forestry equipment.Operation of herbicide application equipment.Routine maintenance on state-owned vehicles and equipment.Assures quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair, and cleanliness.May assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and transporting materials and supplies.Maintains a working knowledge and safely operates all relevant equipment and tools, including tractors, mowers, chainsaws, power saws, drills, air compressors, generators, spray equipment, etc.Performs other duties as assigned.Note: There is only one position available in this location. The position is up to 40 hours per week and up to nine months in duration. The rate of pay for this position is fixed and therefore will not change during the season.
