Position Summary

This position supports test administration, transfer of credit and credit for prior learning staff and processes. A working knowledge of the services offered throughout the College is required to assist students, college staff and the Community at large. The position requires proficient computer skills, strong customer friendly service, organization, and communication skills. The candidate must be able to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and work well in a busy environment and work in afternoon and evening hours (3 to 6pm, M-Th, and 1:30 to 4:30pm, F)

Essential Functions

  • Manage data entry for placement scores: record scores in Banner, work with the Assistant Director of Testing to identify students that are in need of follow-up.
  • Maintain confidential personnel files and process transmittals for faculty.
  • Provide support for Transfer of Credit and Prior Learning Assessment processes.
  • Respond promptly to all Assessment Services inquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face, researching information to ensure accuracy and redirecting calls when necessary.
  • Provide quality service to all visitors of the Assessment Services, clarifying complex requests, anticipating problems in resolving issues, and providing guidance and referrals to other sources or departments when necessary
  • Maintain sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment inclusive of students, faculty and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Assessment Services.

Experience & Education

Minimum Experience: three years' prior experience as an administrative assistant

Minimum Education: Associate Degree

Background Clearances: Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background History, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance); Verification of educational credentials
