Temporary Bookkeeper (8–10 Week Assignment)

MCV Law is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to provide fulltime, temporary coverage during a planned medical leave. Part-time hours will be considered. This position will support the Director of Operations in managing daytoday accounting and operational functions in a fastpaced, growthoriented law firm.

Assignment Details

• Duration: Approximately October 7 - December 9 (6–8 weeks)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Location: Inoffice, Syracuse, NY

Key Responsibilities

• Entering and reconciling daily deposits
• Client billing and payment posting
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• General ledger maintenance and journal entries
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Purchasing and vendor management
• Assisting the Director of Operations with routine operational and financial functions

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a servicerelated or professional services environment; law firm experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong technical aptitude; advanced IT skills a plus
• HR or payrollrelated experience is preferred but not required
• High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information
