Job description:

Compliance Program Assistant (Temporary, 90 Days)

Hourly Rate: $22

Location: Hybrid (First two weeks in office for training, then remote)

About the Role

Dover Staffing, a trusted government vendor, is seeking two Compliance Program Assistants to support the Housing Development Division. These temporary positions are critical in ensuring residents receive timely, accurate, and compassionate assistance with affordable housing concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resident communications: Receive and manage calls, emails, and reports regarding affordable housing issues.
  • Portfolio verification: Use the Emphasys platform to confirm if properties are monitored.
  • Complaint handling: Listen carefully, ask clarifying questions, and determine if issues are tenant/landlord disputes, Fair Housing complaints, or matters requiring the vendor involvement.
  • Fair Housing protocol: Forward complaints to fairhousing and log them in the Fair Housing tracker.
  • Resource referrals: Provide residents with links to georgiahousingsearch.org or homelessness resources.
  • Documentation: Log all tenant concerns in the Resident Concern Log with details, resolution, and date.
  • Collaboration: Participate in weekly/biweekly meetings with LRPS to review recurring issues and resolutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills (de escalation, phone etiquette)
  • 1–3+ years of customer service experience handling complaints or support tickets
  • Organizational and multitasking ability
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fast learner with adaptability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Property management experience
  • Familiarity with property management or ticketing systems
  • Proven conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in high volume inbox or call environments
