This position is a contractual position, subject to the terms and conditions of an employment agreement, on a yearly renewable basis. No City benefits available.
This job is shift work, which is defined as working at a particular jobsite. Every worksite an employee reports to is a new shift. Therefore, travel time is not compensable.
Public safety work monitoring the safety of children at assigned school crosswalk. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age required. Personal transportation to assigned post required. Applicants convicted of a felony crime or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or illegal substances will not be considered.

The employee is occasionally required to react and control emergency situations for the safety of children. Must possess sufficient physical strength to stand and walk for long periods, occasionally under adverse weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must also have adequate hearing to anticipate possible endangerment.
