We are seeking an experienced Temporary Controller to provide immediate leadership and stability during a transition period. This role will oversee the accounting function, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support critical close, audit, and process improvement activities.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, able to step in quickly, and comfortable working in dynamic or transitional environments.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, and financial reporting
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies
Manage account reconciliations and resolve complex discrepancies
Support or lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
Maintain and strengthen internal controls and compliance processes
Monitor cash flow and support forecasting and budgeting activities
Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to accounting staff
Identify process improvements and implement efficiencies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proven experience managing the close process and financial statements
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications
CPA strongly preferred
Experience in a transitional, turnaround, or high-growth environment
Prior experience in a contract or interim role
Pay Details: $55.00 to $100.00 per hour
