We are seeking a benefits-eligible temporary Course Support Specialist to provide specialized support to a variety of Computer Science courses in the Computer Science Department. Responsibilities: Provide extensive course management support including but not limited to initiating and maintaining online course information/updates in an internal course management system (CMS), course websites, canvas sites, Ed Discussions, Student Disability Services systems, Faculty Center, and Slack; manage special needs cases (overtime/make up exams), academic integrity cases; coordinate exam/grading sessions, TA meetings, review sessions; prepare course materials, manage/track course logistics all while using a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. The Course Coordinator is required to work occasional department events that may be scheduled outside of regular business hours. Required Qualifications: * Associate's degree and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required. * Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate sound judgment. Exceptional customer service skills and ability to handle competing priorities required. * Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals including faculty, staff, students and visitors. Must project a professional image and demonstrate the ability to diplomatically handle a wide variety of situations. * Technically adept using a variety of business or technical programs to complete information management or production tasks (Microsoft Office suite, Course Management Systems, Slack, etc.). * Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing. * Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
