We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Temporary CRF Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. The Custodian will be responsible for routine cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas at our Central Receiving Facility (CRF), Recovery Center (RC), and will help ensure the facility is maintained in accordance with established cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
This is a temporary position intended to provide custodial coverage at the CRF and RC. The assignment is expected to continue for approximately three months, subject to operational needs.
Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment within the inpatient unit.
Perform routine cleaning tasks of common areas, bathrooms, bedrooms, office space, etc.
Adheres to safety protocols and regulations, including those related to hazardous material, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
Reports any maintenance concerns immediately for timely resolution.
Assist throughout the campus, when necessary.
Assists with the receiving, delivery and stocking of supplies.
Works with a variety of cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe manner.
Utilizes provided safety equipment and supplies.
Works with and around other staff members.
Works around patients.
This position will not be eligible for benefits.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in custodial or housekeeping roles, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push/pull heavy objects regularly throughout the shift.
Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test.
Valid FL drivers' license, insurance, and safe driving record.
Must maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct, while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Possesses knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and infection control procedures.
Effective verbal communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and adherence to safety and sanitation protocols.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in collaboration with other community partners.
Ability to manage stressful situations and display appropriate work demeanor and boundaries.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility in various work projects
Ability to maintain patient and agency confidentiality.
