This position is a temporary position.
Primary Purpose:
Under moderate supervision, assist district staff with receiving, inventorying, labeling, organizing,
and distributing instructional materials, textbooks, classroom supplies, and related resources for
the upcoming school year. Support efficient storage operations to ensure campuses and
departments are prepared for student and staff needs.
This position is planned to work approximately 3 hours per day, 4 days per week during summer
months between school years.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
College coursework, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to organize materials and maintain accurate records
Basic computer and data entry skills
Ability to learn and properly use inventory software and spreadsheets
Ability to follow written and verbal directions
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable and punctual
Experience:
Experience organizing materials, stocking inventory, or working in a school or warehouse setting,
preferred but not required
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist with receiving and/or unloading instructional materials and supplies
Count, sort, label, and inventory textbooks, classroom resources, and district supplies
Organize materials in storage rooms, warehouses, and/or designated campus areas
Assist with preparing and distributing materials to campuses and departments
Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies to supervisors
Help keep work areas clean, safe, and orderly
Assist district staff with additional summer preparation tasks as assigned
Follow all district safety procedures and confidentiality expectations
Maintain consistent punctuality and regular attendance.
