    Department Information

    The Department of Management, part of the AACSB-accredited Parker College of Business, provides excellence in management education through teaching, research, and service. The department offers a BBA in Management with concentrations in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Hospitality Management, and Human Resource Management. The department also supports several graduate business programs, both in person and online. The department enrolls more than 1,000 students in its undergraduate degree program, making it one of the largest undergraduate majors within the Parker College of Business and the university.

    Job Summary

    The Department of Management is now accepting applications for a part-time faculty position for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

    Responsibilities

    • Teach introductory and intermediate-level management courses
    • Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).

    Required Qualifications

    • Earned masters degree in business administration, management, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in management.

    • Evidence of the potential for above average teaching ability.

    • Evidence of effective communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Relevant professional and managerial experience

    • Professional certification

    Proposed Salary

    Commensurate with experience.

    This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.

    Conditions of Employment

    All work (with limited exceptions such as research and study abroad outside activities such as grading and email correspondence) for Georgia Southern University must be completed while the employee is physically present in the state of Georgia, unless specifically authorized by the university for a specific purpose and limited period of time within current policy.

    Faculty are expected to contribute to the vibrant university community by engaging students, participating in events, and performing other responsibilities on-campus.

    Faculty may be required to teach, conduct research, or perform service duties on any of the three campuses. Georgia Southern provides accessible transportation options between campuses.
