    Description

    The Department of Internal Medicine seeks a detail-oriented and analytical Temporary Financial Specialist to support a variety of financial and accounting functions within our department. This role is responsible for assisting with financial operations, reporting, reconciliation, budgeting support, and compliance-related activities in a fast-paced professional environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain financial records and process accounts payable and receivable transactions
    • Research and resolve financial discrepancies and assist with account collections
    • Provide guidance regarding allowable expenditures and financial procedures
    • Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
    • Monitor and reconcile revenues, expenditures, and other financial activity
    • Support grant and contract administration, including compliance review
    • Compile and analyze financial and statistical data to support operational and strategic decision-making
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable and/or other related financial operations
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a professional office environment
    • High School Diploma
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial/accounting systems preferred
