Temporary HR Analyst (Leave of Absence & Workers' Compensation)
Hybrid Opportunity | Human Resources | LOA | FMLA | ADA

Our client is seeking an experienced Temporary HR Analyst to provide critical support for Leave of Absence (LOA), FMLA, ADA accommodations, and Workers' Compensation administration during an employee leave. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys employee relations and compliance-focused work, and has experience managing sensitive employee matters.

The selected candidate will initially work 20 hours per week, increasing to 40 hours per week when coverage needs expand. This position will begin as fully onsite, Monday through Friday, and can transition to a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) once training and onboarding are successfully completed.

What You'll Do
Leave of Absence (LOA) Administration
  • Review, process, and track employee leave requests.
  • Administer and support FMLA, ADA, personal leave, and other leave programs.
  • Respond to employee, manager, and vendor inquiries regarding leave status and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate leave records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with employees, management, payroll, and third-party administrators regarding leave requests and return-to-work activities.
  • Manage and update leave information within The Hartford portal and internal tracking systems.
  • Monitor leave timelines and proactively follow up on missing documentation.
  • Escalate complex leave matters to HR leadership as needed.
Workers' Compensation Administration
  • Review and monitor workers' compensation claims.
  • Maintain claim records and update relevant information in vendor portals.
  • Coordinate with employees, supervisors, payroll, claims adjusters, and medical providers.
  • Review internal workers' compensation reports and documentation.
  • Participate in claim status meetings and provide updates to HR leadership.
  • Escalate complex claim matters when appropriate.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain organized electronic employee records and files.
  • Review routine HR reports related to leave and workers' compensation activity.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company procedures.
  • Save and maintain records in SharePoint and other designated systems.
Invoice Processing
  • Review invoices from LOA and workers' compensation vendors.
  • Verify employment status before processing payments.
  • Submit approved invoices to Accounts Payable.
  • Maintain accurate invoice and employee documentation records.
General HR Support
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries.
  • Provide regular updates regarding active leave and workers' compensation cases.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee medical and personnel information.
  • Support additional HR projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • Experience administering Leave of Absence (LOA), FMLA, and ADA programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, and HR technology platforms.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
Preferred
  • Experience managing workers' compensation claims.
  • Experience using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) systems.
  • Experience working with third-party leave administrators and vendor portals.
  • HR, benefits, payroll, or employee relations background.
