Position Summary:
This position requires faculty engagement in teaching (both academic and clinical).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teaches for graduate courses such as Adult Neurological Disorders, Voice Disorders, and Swallowing Disorders. Teaches undergraduate courses in CD.
Supervises students enrolled in clinical practicum.
Works closely with the Clinic Director in helping with clinic placements and supervising SPEAK OUT! sessions
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge in the daily operations of a fully functional Speech and Hearing Clinic that is open to the public and the campus community at no charge.
Expertise in the areas of managing client''s skills to maximize therapeutic outcomes, knowledge of all aspects of professional credentialing for Speech-Language pathology at the national and state levels.
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Other:
Provides service to the Department, the College, the University, and the professional discipline.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a Master''s Degree, Ph.D., or Ed.D. in Communication Disorders
Three (3) years of professional experience beyond the Clinical Fellowship year, a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and a license to practice as a speech-language pathologist in the state of Arkansas.
