IMKO is currently looking for a reliable, hardworking Temporary Laundry Attendant for a 1 to 2 week assignment with a hotel/event center located in Columbia. You will play a crucial role in ensuring guests have a comfortable stay by maintaining a steady flow of clean, high-quality linens and terry products. This is a fast-paced role that requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail.
Schedule: 9 am to 5 pm, days vary, assignment expected to last 1 to 2 weeksPay Rate: $15.50/hr
Key Responsibilities- Sort & Process: Separate soiled linens, towels, and other items by fabric type and stain level.
- Machine Operation: Load and unload industrial washers and dryers using correct settings and chemical formulas.
- Finishing: Fold, stack, and organize linens according to hotel standards; operate ironers or folders as needed.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for tears, permanent stains, or thinning, and set aside damaged goods for treatment or discard.
- Inventory Support: Keep the laundry area clean and organized, and assist in delivering fresh linens to housekeeping storage closets.
Requirements- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift/push laundry carts weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Efficiency: Capable of working quickly to meet daily production quotas.
- Reliability: Strong attendance record and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all linens are crisp, clean, and folded perfectly.
