TheGreenbrierHotelGroupdba TheGreenbrierHotellocatedinWhiteSulphurSprings,WestVirginia seeks Twenty-Five (25) full-time Temporary Cook who will be responsible for:

 

PrimaryResponsibilities

·         Beingpreparedforwork-suchasclockinginontime,infulluniform, withtools.

·         Station set up- having all the necessary tools and equipment, the appropriate level of sanitation and mise en place.

·         Production and Daily tasks- should be completed in accordance with the provided recipes or information. A product of the finest quality is indicative of the Greenbrier standards.

·         Sanitation- such as proper hand washing, cutting boards are washed, rinsed, and sanitized after every use. Gloves are to be used to handle ready to eat foods. Sanitation solution is obtained by from the designated chemical dispensing area.

·         Safety/Maintenance/Storage- Picking up things on the floor, wiping up spills immediately, throwingawaytrash inappropriatecontainers.Nevercarrytoomanyitemsatonetime, use a carte or ask for help when carrying heavy objects.

·         Propercloseoutprocedures-Allfoodarereturnedtostorage,wrapped,labeled,datedand initialed,sealedinasizeappropriatecontainerandstoredonacleanshelf.Allequipmentis turned off, cleaned and sanitized.

 

SecondaryResponsibilities:

·         MaintainTheGreenbrier’sstandardoffoodquality.

·         Properlyexecutedfoodisofutmostimportance.

·         Presentationtomeetourconsistentstandards.

·         Freshness/Doneness-food iscooked exactlyasguestshaveordered.

 

NormalWorkingHours:

·         Mustbe availableSunday–Saturday&all holidays

·         Timesmayvarydependingonmealserviceperiod.

Nine(9)monthsofexperienceatahotel,resort,restaurant,orprivateclubrequired.successful completion of pre-employment drug testing required; drug test may include hair follicle testing

Oneworksitelocatedat101MainStreetWest,WhiteSulphurSprings,WV,nootherworksites. On-the-job training is provided.

 

 

 


Wage:      Employerwill  pay  $15.47  per  hour  which  is  greater  than  the  prevailingwage  of

$14.02.  Overtime is available and guaranteed at one and half times the offered wage which is no less than$23.21 per hour. All wages will be paid bi-weekly.

 

Schedule: 35 hours per week minimum.Work schedule can vary and can include evening and weekendhours.WorkmaybeperformedonanydayoftheweekfromMondaythroughSunday.Work hours and shifts vary.

 

Asingleworkweekwillbeusedtocompute wagesdue.Wagesarepaidbi-weekly.

 

 

All deductions from paycheck will be made in accordance with and as required by law including but not limited proper deduction to ensure wages do not improperly fall below prevailing wage.

 

If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburseworkers fortransportation and subsistencefrom the placeofrecruitmentto the placeof work.Uponcompletionoftheworkcontractorwheretheworkerisdismissedearlier,employerwill provideorpayforworker’sreasonablecostsofreturntransportationandsubsistencebackhomeor to the place theworker originally departed to work, except where theworker will not return dueto subsequentemploymentwithanotheremployer.Theemployerwillpaydirectlyforand/orreimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the firstworkweek.Theemployerwillpaydirectlyforand/orreimburseworkersforallreasonableoutbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek.The amount of transportation paymentorreimbursementwillbeequaltothemosteconomicalandreasonablecommoncarrierfor thedistancesinvolved.Dailysubsistencewillbeprovidedatarateof$16.28perdayduringtravelto a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.

 

Theemployer guarantees tooffer work for hours equal to at least threefourthsoftheworkdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

 

The employer will provide workers at no charge alltools, supplies,andequipment required to perform the job.
