Description
This Professional Services Support Staff position will report to the relevant Associate Director of University Advising Services. The Support Staff will provide support to the Associate Director, Advisors and students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
Answer telephones and respond to inquiries via telephone or email.
Assist students with scheduling advising appointments.
Schedule meeting spaces/reserve rooms.
Perform administrative tasks, including filing, scanning and photocopying.
Implement and/or develop office procedures and record systems.
Manage inventory and order supplies.
Manage professional staff calendars/appointments.
Referring students to appropriate departments.
Make and confirm travel arrangements.
Prepare and mail outgoing correspondence.
Maintain confidential department files/records.
Required Qualifications:
Two years of experience working in an office environment or similar setting.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Knowledge of student information systems.
Rate: $17 per hour
Hours:
This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty- five (25) hours per week.
