- Career and Technical Institute Instructor for Electrical Apprenticeship will report directly to the Workforce Training and Continuing Education Program Supervisor and will deliver high-quality classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction. Instruction is provided using an approved curriculum and industry-relevant training materials to prepare students for advancement within the Electrical industry.

Job Description
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis.
- Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness.
- Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking.
- Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behavior and participations.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction.
- Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and instructional progress.
- Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in the field.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations and document student progress.
- Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Field-related license/certification including, but not limited to, OSHA 10 certification.
- New Jersey Licensed Electrician license, New Jersey Electrical Contractor license, or successful completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship (including a union apprenticeship) is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires mobility throughout the campus.
- Dexterity in working with computers is mandatory.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while teaching in classroom and laboratory settings.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move electrical-related equipment or training materials up to 50 lbs.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools and training equipment.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb and reach when demonstrating equipment installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
