Everstaff is seeking a Temporary Payroll Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting accurate and timely weekly payroll processing for employees. 

This role ensures payroll data is maintained accurately, discrepancies are resolved efficiently, and payroll operations remain compliant with company policies and applicable regulations.

Temporary position
Pay: $25/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Onsite-Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
• Collect, review, calculate, and enter payroll-related data accurately and efficiently
• Prepare payroll import files and process manual pay adjustments prior to payroll processing
• Verify approval of employee timesheets, wage changes, and payroll updates before payroll submission
• Process garnishments, child support orders, and related deductions in compliance with FLSA regulations
• Process weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner for U.S. and Canadian employees
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies by analyzing payroll data and collaborating with internal teams
• Audit and reconcile payroll records on a weekly basis while partnering with accounting as needed
• Respond to payroll-related questions and requests from employees and internal stakeholders
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assist with additional payroll and administrative responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of payroll experience within a large organization
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and maintain accountability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies and resolve complex issues
• Customer-service mindset with the ability to communicate professionally and empathetically
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with UKG Pro / UltiPro HRIS systems
• Strong math, reporting, and reconciliation skills
