Responsibilities

The POS Temporary Associate provides frontline technical support to Spencer's, Spirit Halloween, and Spirit Christmas stores, helping ensure store systems remain operational and business disruptions are minimized. This role serves as a key member of the Store Support Center, responding to software, hardware, network, and operational support requests from stores across the organization. In addition to troubleshooting issues, the associate will assist with special projects and contribute to the overall success of store technology operations.

 

Night shifts are available and include weekends.

 

• Provide first-level support for store software applications by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues or escalating them when necessary
• Deliver first-level hardware support, assisting stores with troubleshooting and resolving POS, workstation, printer, and peripheral-related issues over the phone
• Support store network (WAN) connectivity by troubleshooting performance issues, coordinating installations, and escalating outages or unresolved issues to the WAN team
• Monitor and perform operational tasks related to store data polling and system communications
• Partner with Store Support Center Associates, Specialists, and WAN Technicians to ensure timely issue resolution and effective store support
• Assist with technology-related projects, including device configuration, deployment activities, and warehouse support functions
• Respond to after-hours store support needs by coordinating service requests and assisting with maintenance, asset management, and operational emergencies
• Maintain accurate documentation of reported issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
• Contribute to a positive support experience by providing professional, timely, and effective customer service to store teams

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; coursework, certifications, or experience in Information Technology, Technical Support, Retail Operations, or a related field is a plus
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable learning new technologies, systems, and processes
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Availability to work weekends and flexible shifts as needed

 

 

The pay range reflects the potential rate for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Pay Range

$18.50 per hour
