The Department of Chemistry is a research-focused academic unit that supports collaboration among faculty, staff, and students. The department includes endowed faculty positions and tenured faculty members, some of whom hold fellow status in professional organizations such as AAAS, ACS, and RSC. Faculty and staff participate in research, instruction, and mentoring activities that support student academic and professional development. Departmental work includes laboratory and project coordination, research activity, instructional support, and opportunities for scholarly engagement such as presenting research at professional conferences.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented administrative assistant to support the newly approved Biochemistry program. The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, familiarity with Biochemistry or related fields. This position will assist with preparing and managing documents for grant proposals, advertising, and recruitment activities. The assistant will also support outreach efforts, including website and promotional materials, with experience using social media platforms considered a plus.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00-$20.00 per hour.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
