Purchasing Clerk for a Project
Pay: $18-$20/hour DOE
A well-established oil & gas service company in the Houma area is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to assist their team on a temporary project. This position is responsible for supporting daily purchasing activities, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring materials and supplies are available to support operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and process purchase orders
- Source materials, equipment, and supplies from approved vendors
- Obtain pricing and delivery information from suppliers
- Track orders and follow up on shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain purchasing records and documentation
- Coordinate with operations and management regarding material needs
- Assist with inventory monitoring and replenishment
- Verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Support other administrative and office functions as needed
