Posting Summary Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the department of Pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

The primary purpose of the research assistant position is to support research on the feasibility of DNA sequencing-based newborn screening protocol.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Recruiting newborn babies to participate in the Begin NGS project. • Obtaining research consent from the mothers of the newborns. • Reporting the results of the testing. • Entering data for positively testing babies in RedCap. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

FLSA Nonexempt Grade 99H Salary Details A range of 35-45 hours Minimum Salary: $15.49 Mid Range Salary: $75.00 Maximum Salary: $150.00

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Undergraduate degree in biology or graduate degree in genetic counseling. Certifications Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Preferred Qualifications Experience in genetic counseling and clinical research.
