Posting Summary

The Rutgers University Biostatistics & Epidemiology Services (RUBIES) center within the School of Public Health located in Piscataway, NJ is seeking Temporary Research Assistants with strong quantitative and communication skills to contribute to work with research study design, data management, and data analyses for numerous grant and investigator-initiated research projects. The Temporary Research Assistants might also be asked to hold walk in or virtual office hours for short-term project consultations.

Duties include:

  • Assists with data management.
  • Carries out data analysis, including fitting of regression models.
  • Assists with the creation of tables, figures, and other descriptive statistics

FLSA Nonexempt Grade 99H Salary Details $15.92/hour Minimum Salary 15.92 Mid Range Salary 75.00 Maximum Salary 150.00 Offer Information

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and statistical software programming skills required.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Prior data analysis experience.
  • Proficient use of computers and data analysis software (Microsoft Office and SAS/R).

Preferred Qualifications

  • A currently enrolled or recently graduated public health student (MPH or MS)
  • Previous experience working at a university/college.
