What does A Temporary Shipping Center Associate do?

Our Temporary Shipping Center Associates are a key member of the merchandise journey. They ensure that the right goods get to the right stores at the right time. They do this amazing work in a fast paced, safe and efficient way.

Some of the responsibilities of this role include the following:

• Please note this is a Temporary role can last up to 16 weeks or could end at any moment.
• Constant handling and lifting of packages up to 50 lbs. and up to 60lbs frequently. Team lifting may be required on assignments.
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to adjust body position to properly bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn and pivot.
• You will be working in an environment with variable temperatures.
• Associates must be able to load carton freight into trailers according to department standards, follow trailer safety practices and perform job function within established safety guidelines for proper bending, turning, lifting etc.
• Maintain housekeeping inside trailers and around dock door area.
• Count, select and sort items by style, color, store order or other criteria.
• Must stack and sort boxes onto pallets.
• Operate a pallet jack and an automatic stretch wrap machine.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.         
• Be flexible with changing demands and priorities.
• Be organized and show good attention to detail.
• Follow safety protocols.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of job-related experience preferred, but not required.
• At least 18 years of age
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for 10 to 12 hours.

Shift Opportunities: Based on Business Needs

• A Shift: Monday- Thursday 5:00AM - 3:15PM
• B Shift: Friday- Sunday 6:30AM - 7:00PM
• C Shift: Monday – Thursday 4:00PM – 2:15AM

How much do we pay?

Our Outbound Shipping Associates are starting at $18.75 per hour with shift differentials on qualifying shifts.
