We are seeking a motivated and organized Transit Planning Assistant to support a local transportation organization on a temporary basis. Assignment is anticipated to run through December 31, 2026, with a potential to continue into 2027.
Conduct research, data analysis, and field observations.
Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations.
Assist with meetings and community outreach.
Manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
Handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in transportation policy and planning, urban planning, public policy, economics, civil engineering, marketing, public health, or a related field.
Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
Familiarity with transit operations is a plus.
Required Skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
