Temporary Wage Assignment
Temporary Transporter UVA Temps is recruiting for organized, detail-oriented, and professional persons to fill Temporary Transporter roles within the Medical Center. 3 shifts available Monday--Friday, 40 hours a week, 7am--3:30pm, 3pm--11:30pm, and 11pm--7:30am.
Job Responsibilities:
• Transport patients, equipment, specimens, and deceased within University Hospital. • Clean equipment for patient care. • Significant interaction with patients while transporting. • Use a web-based dispatch system to retrieve transport jobs on mobile device.
Physical Demands:
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently walking and bending, stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail. Ability to lift, push, pull 50--100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, noise, outdoor climate, chemicals, blood, body fluids, and infectious disease.
