Overview:

We are authentic, professional providers of fun, focused on building a Great Place To Work For All by staying true to our mission: “Life’s a Party, We’re Makin’ It Fun!” and “So Much Fun It’s Scary!”

At Spencer’s and Spirit, we do the right thing always-integrity, fairness, respect, and transparency are our foundation. You will find our culture to be inclusive, passionate, resilient, and one that values differences and embraces all.

One Team / One Goal

We are leaders and owners of our business success. Whether it’s developing new and exclusive costumes, quality testing products, or implementing technology solutions, our teams understand the value of working collaboratively to embrace change through innovation, curiosity, and thoughtfulness.

Responsibilities:

You’ll stage and prep network gear (routers, switches, Wi‑Fi APs) so it arrives ready to plug in: unbox, label, configure, test, repack and ship. This role is hands‑on, detail‑heavy, and a great on‑ramp into enterprise networking. Perfect if  you want real experience with WAN/SD‑WAN, Wi‑Fi, and retail rollout workflows during peak season.

Stage the Gear (Unbox, Tag, Inventory)

  • Unbox routers, switches, modems/gateways, and Wi‑Fi access points.
  • Check shipments for damage, missing parts, and model/quantity mismatches
  • Apply asset tags/labels and update inventory tracking

Configure & Onboard (Make It Store‑Ready)

  • Load standard configs provided by Network Engineering
  • Connect to the staging network and onboard devices into cloud management (e.g., Meraki Dashboard / Aruba Central)
  • Set/store‑specific settings as instructed (WAN port, VLANs, SSIDs, IP/DHCP basics)
  • Upgrade firmware to approved versions
  • Confirm devices check in, pull configs, and show healthy status in the dashboard

Test, QA, & Pack

  • Run basic checks (link lights, ping/traceroute, throughput sanity checks)
  • Verify config matches the template (VLAN/SSID naming, ports, addressing)
  • Log results and flag anything off‑template to a senior tech/engineer
  • Make sure all accessories are in the box (power, antennas, mounts, cables)
  • Repack securely for shipment to stores, DCs, or field techs
  • Keep accurate logs of what you staged, configured, tested, and shipped

Qualifications:
  • Networking basics: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and simple routing.
  • Able to lift/move equipment (about 20–40 lbs)
  • Network+ or CCNA (or you’re actively working on one)
  • Comfort with cloud‑managed networking (Meraki, Cisco, Aruba)
  • Hands‑on lab/internship experience with routers/switches/Wi‑Fi

The pay range reflects the potential rate for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Pay Range: $18.50 per hour
