As stewards of the resources in our parks, we seek to manage Tennessee's state parks to preserve and protect valued resources and provide a balance of services and benefits for the enjoyment of the people.

Job Overview:

We are looking for candidates with a proven ability to cultivate a positive work environment and build effective teams dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to guests. This position involves a range of responsibilities, including that candidates have a flexible work schedule and the ability to work on weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily Lodge operations, including budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, implementation, and compliance with all TSP policies and standards.

  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns. - Manage hospitality and guest services, lodging and cabin accommodations and reservations, food and beverage operations, and conference reservations using the appropriate tracking systems.

  • Ensure efficient and profitable functioning of the Lodge's Dayto-day operations, including labor, productivity, and revenue generation.

  • Work in a hands-on capacity, assisting in all Lodge operations as needed.

  • Focus on hiring, training, and retaining service-oriented staff. Provide coaching, training, motivation, and evaluations of staff, with a focus on excellent customer service.

  • Oversee risk management by ensuring compliance with local, state and federal health and safety guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree is preferred, and applicants must have at least six years of experience in the hospitality industry, including a minimum of two years in a role such as Assistant General Manager, Room Operations Manager, or a similar position in a full-service hotel or resort that features dining outlets and meeting spaces.
