Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is currently seeking dynamic, energetic, fun seasonal/intermittent applicants to fill our exciting positions at either Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center at Cabin John Regional Park or the Wheaton Indoor Tennis Center located in Wheaton, MD.

Work hours are flexible to include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Both facilities are open year-round.

Examples of Important Duties

OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:

Tennis Front Desk/Manager Aide (Starting @ $15.45/hr)

• Performs program and/or facility management duties in assisting management staff.
• Serves as the facilitys first point-of-contact for customer questions and/or concerns.
• Assists full time managers in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, inspect for cleanliness, safety issues and sanitation.
• Opening and closing duties for facility.
• Processes program registrations, rental applications, and court reservations.
• Must be comfortable performing basic computer functions (e.g. data entry capabilities).
• Performs cash handling, prepares daily bank deposits and runs cash reports.
• Applicant should have a pleasant demeanor, be able to work independently, and be knowledgeable of facility programs, fees and policies.
• Additional on-site training will be provided.

Pay rate is based on experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Weekend and evening work is required
• Comfortable performing basic computer functions
• A minimum age of 16

• May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.
• These positions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits.

• All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills, attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available) and attend in-house orientation.

THE MARYLAND-NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION 2026 BENEFIT SUMMARY FOR SEASONAL INTERMITTENT EMPLOYEES

The following information is a summary of benefits extended to all Seasonal employees of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). This is for informational purposes only and is subject to change.

Limited Benefits for Seasonal Employees Health Insurance Plans You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period.

If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office.

Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.
