Our Tent Installer Crew Leaders (TICL) are an integral part of our team whose primary functions are to manage a group of delivery team members, install in a safe and proficient manner tents for functions, and deliver tables, chairs, china, and other party related items. The work is typically very physical and demanding, both from strength requirements and the stamina required. The ability to drive a truck under 26,000 pounds and up to 26’ in length is also required.
· Trains new hires.
· Drive trucks to loading docks and sites for installations.
· Pull and load tent & related equipment with load slip and warehouse support:
· Communicate with the Event Sales Team regarding any special notes.
· Perform quality control inspection.
· Check equipment off list as it is loaded and load equipment on truck in proper order.
· Secure load for safety.
· Load tools & operation equipment.
· Check final load.
· Assemble various tents per manufacturer and company safety policy & procedures.
· Inspect tent for proper assembly.
· If applicable, install all other rented equipment and accessories per layout or direction.
· Maintain tent job after installation and adjust per weather conditions.
· Inspect tent and accessories for damage before removing. Complete paperwork and inform your supervisor if necessary.
· Remove rented accessories and/or tent(s) per manufacturer and company safety policy & procedures.
· Repair minor tears, etc. on-site or tag red for repair, blue for wet, yellow for wash needed, green for good to put on shelf.
· Upon pickup, load truck properly at rental site.
· Work with warehouse support to be sure the truck is unloaded properly and that everything is returned to inventory and stored in its proper location.
· Clean and/or repair tents and all other party rental equipment per company policy and procedure.
· Report to Manager at the completion of all job runs and inform of any necessary repairs made or needed.
· Report safety violations to Supervisor, Manager, or Service Manager.
· Greet and assist customers with loading and unloading of rental equipment. Be sure the customer understands proper usage and safety features of rented equipment. When loading, make sure the customer securely fastens equipment to his/her vehicle before leaving (assist if necessary).
· Communicate with designated crew members.
· Communicate with Manager on any issues, thoughts, or ideas.
· Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business.
· Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
· Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.
· Attendance at department, store and safety meetings is mandatory.
· Perform other duties as requested.
