Description
The Department of International Affairs in the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor at its College Station campus. The anticipated start date for this position is August 1, 2027. The Department of International Affairs is one of three departments in the Bush School of Government and Public Service. The successful candidate will be an expert in international affairs related to the Middle East and have experience teaching required courses in International Relations theory and American foreign policy. The position carries a 2/2 teaching load with four courses per academic year. Teaching responsibilities will include elective courses focused on Middle East affairs and required courses focused on International Relations theory and American Foreign Policy. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research agenda and produce a research portfolio that would merit tenure under Texas A&M University's standard tenure and promotion process. A reasonable amount of departmental and professional service is also expected.
