The College of Business at Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a full- time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Strategic Management beginning Fall 2027.
This position plays a central role in the undergraduate and graduate business curriculum, with primary responsibility for teaching strategic management at both levels, including capstone courses in Strategic Management (undergraduate) and Competitive Strategy (MBA). The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to engaged, high- impact teaching and maintain an active research agenda with the potential to publish in peer-reviewed, ranked academic journals.
We seek a broadly trained strategic management scholar who can contribute to a collaborative academic community and engage students in integrative, cross-functional
thinking. Candidates should be able to connect strategy to contemporary business challenges, including emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and innovation. An interest in entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial strategy is valued but not required.

All tenure-track faculty positions at Loyola University New Orleans require a 3-3 teaching load, continuous scholarly activity, student advising, and service to institutional
committees. Candidates in their first faculty appointment after completing their PhD may be eligible for a one-course reduction during the first year to support research activities.

The Joseph A. Butt, S.J., College of Business currently enrolls almost 600 undergraduate students in degree programs leading to majors in accounting, analytics, economics, finance, management, marketing, and international business. Approximately
150 students are enrolled in graduate programs. Recently, the College launched a new undergraduate program in Entrepreneurship and graduate programs in Marketing & Communication and Healthcare Management. Our undergraduate (International Business) and graduate (Entrepreneurship) programs are ranked in the top 25 by US News & World Report. The College requires all undergraduate students to complete internships and provides career preparation through its Portfolio Program. Undergraduate programs have been continuously accredited by AACSB since 1950, and graduate programs since 1974. The small size (35 faculty and 10 staff) and collegial nature of the College afford a pleasant and productive working environment.
In accordance with the Campus Security Act as amended, Loyola University publishes annually and distributes to members of the academic community, and upon request to prospective (students/employees), an annual security report. That report includes current policies and procedures of the University Police Department for the reporting of campus crimes, notifying the campus community of occurrence of campus crimes, policies regarding access to campus buildings, the enforcement authority of the University Police Officers and their relationship to local police. University policies on the possession, use and sale of alcohol and illegal drugs are outlined. The Campus sexual Assault Program and policy is described. Campus crime statistics as defined under this law for the last three calendar years are included. A copy of this report may be secured from the (Office of Admissions), (Office of Human Resources), or from the University Police Department.
