Description
Job Title: Teradata Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC / Plano, TX
Duration: Fulltime
Skills: Teradata
Salary: 100K-110K/Year
Roles and Responsibilities:
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Teradata SQL development and performance tuning.
Design, develop, and maintain complex Teradata scripts, stored procedures, macros, and views.
Expertise in data warehousing concepts - Staging, ODS, EDW, Data Marts.
Analyze and implement Source-to-Target (S2T) mappings.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
Strong experience in query optimization, indexing strategies, partitioning (PPI), and workload management.
Work with large-scale datasets and ensure high-performance data processing.
Implement data validation and data quality checks within Teradata environments.
Experience handling incremental loads, CDC, and batch processing pipelines.
Collaborate with business and data teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Strong understanding of banking domain data (Retail, Loans, Payments, Risk, Finance).
Support production deployments, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like JIRA.
Good knowledge of Unix scripting for job orchestration and automation.
