Although Judge Clay and his staff regularly telecommute, this is envisioned primarily as an in-person position, thus the candidate should reside near (or be willing to relocate to) Northwestern Ohio. Candidates having prior experience as a federal court law clerk or staff attorney and/or substantial experience in Social Security disability law may be considered for a hybrid or fully remote work status. This appointment is anticipated for a two-year term with potential for extension (but in no case exceeding 4 years) at the discretion of the successful applicant and Judge Clay.
