Description
RSI Logistics, a subsidiary of TrinityRail, is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Somerset, KY rail transload terminal. This position supports customer service requirements and handles general office tasks including BOL processing and some accounting-type functions.
What you'll do:
Customer Service, intake of BOLs, and commodities being delivered or transferred
Fulfill daily workload and tasks delegated by manager/cross-train as necessary
Enforces safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors to the facility
Updating and maintaining customer databases
Monitoring and ordering customer inventory
Maintaining filing systems
Maintain and communicate customer inventory information
Compiling records of office duties and activities
Handling inquiries and incoming customer work order requests
Reviewing files and records to answer customer requests for information
Checking and distributing documents and correspondence
Photocopying, scanning, faxing, and sending emails
Organizing and scheduling customer work orders
Interacts with customers, railroad crews, and visitors
Answer phone calls for the facility
Utilizing an inventory tracking system
Work in trailer or building on railroad terminal property. No exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise or chemicals or hazardous equipment.
Performs all other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Driver License
Five (5) + years of experience in an Office setting, rail experience a plus
Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies
Committed to understanding client needs, responding effectively, and ensuring satisfaction
Ability to actively engage in conversations to communicate with economy and clarity, clearly understand the message and intent, and receive and process feedback.
Proficient computer skills with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
Knowledge of office and business practices, equipment, and procedures
Good conflict resolution skills
Able to pay close attention to details and identify and correct mistakes
