Job Summary:
TheTerminal Dispatcher,dispatches drivers, communicates & schedulesequipment maintenance. Individual will communicate with and assist Terminal Manager (TM) in investigating and resolving customer complaints.  Also responsible for communicating with drivers on daily dispatch and other companyinformation provided by TM.
 
Essential Functions/Duties: 

DOT Safety Compliance

  • FullUnderstanding of DOT HOS
  • FullUnderstanding of company ELD equipment
  • Communicate to drivers or assist in maintaining full compliance

Driver Management

  • Communicatewith drivers on behalf of TM
  • Maintain driver’sschedulesandassignwork tasks
  • Super User of Drivers tools & functions

Dispatch

  • Prepare daily dispatch to ensure that the driversare being routed in an efficient and productivemanner to include product compatibility and washrequirements in regards to Plastic Express procedures
  • InterfacewithPLXPCustomerService Representatives to ensure the Customer Order requests are being met
  • Communicate items that willeffectdelivery performance
  • Serve as dispatcher to both produce daily dispatch of loads & close out loads in the Live Load Review Finalization process

Maintenance

  • Provide Tank wash with wash List daily
  • Ensure that all washout inspections of trailers are completed
  • Make Equipment available for 90-day service schedule
  • Oversee overallequipment maintenance to include:

RailTerminal

  • Communicate with PE Rail Team for inventory needs
  • Cross check that dispatched inventory is available for dispatch

Sample & Seal Program

  • Oversee sample retention and driver seal records for terminal compliance
  • Order and maintain samplebag & railcar seals inventory fromvendors
  • Input seals into PXTM fordriver traceability

Additional Job Details:
Supervisory Responsibility:
  • Will serve in a supervisory capacity for all Bulk Drivers assigned to the terminal as well as other terminal support personnel.

Work Environment: 
  • Thisjob routinely operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standardofficeequipment such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners and also often requires the use of hand tools while working on or under trucks and trailers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 
  • Thisis a full-time position. Must be on call for guidance 24/7, whileTerminaldeliveriesare taking place.
