    JOB TITLE: Terrain Park Attendant

    DIVISION: Mountain Operations                                   

    REPORTS TO: Terrain Park Supervisor

    LOCATION: Vehicle Shop & On-Mountain

    CLASSIFICATION: Full Time/Seasonal/Hourly

    POSITION:

    The Terrain Park Attendant is responsible for general upkeep and testing of the terrain park during operating hours. Other roles include crowd management and ensuring the guests knowledge of proper terrain park usage.

    SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Terrain park operations or construction experience preferred.
    • Freestyle skiing/snowboarding experience preferred.
    • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and maintain high-quality standards.
    • Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
    • Ability to identify and solve problems as they arise.
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather and visibility conditions, including extreme winter storms and low visibility.
    • Ability lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts.
    • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and required protective equipment standards.
    • Must wear proper clothing and footwear for the job duties.
    • Must have a valid driver's license.
    • Must have dependable transportation for all weather conditions.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with the construction, installation, and shaping of terrain park features, including jumps, rollers, rails, boxes, and other freestyle elements.
    • Repair and maintain features throughout the operating day using hand tools and approved equipment to ensure features remain safe and consistent.
    • Conduct feature testing by skiing or snowboarding park features to evaluate functionality, flow, speed, takeoff and landing conditions, and overall rider experience.
    • Perform daily inspections of terrain park features, entrances, exits, signage, and fencing to ensure compliance with resort standards and safety expectations.
    • Collaborate with Grooming, Mountain Operations, and Ski Patrol to maintain safe park conditions.
    • Educate guests on terrain park etiquette, feature difficulty levels, and Smart Style principles.
    • Stay informed about Solitude uphill travel policies and evening events
    • Follow directives from the Terrain Park Supervisor to efficiently complete tasks related to terrain park feature building, maintenance, and safety initiatives.
